Anthony Yigit was a decorated amateur who competed in the 2012 Olympics. The Swedish southpaw turned pro in 2013, and soon became one of the most eye catching boxers on the planet. After capturing the EBU European title, and defeating Sandor Martin along the way, Yigit got his shot at The IBF World Title in 2018, where he fell short. Another World Title shot would follow in 2021, before eventually fighting Keyshawn Davis in 2023. Yigit earned his name in the pro ranks for his silk skills, but it was his incredible heart, bravery and conscious effort to deliver entertaining fights, which made him a fan favourite. A rematch with amateurr rival Denys Berinchyk would land as co-main event on the Usyk-Dubois card in August 2023, with the Ukraine boxer getting the nod in a great fight, 115-113, 116-112, and 117-111.
